If you have received an offer for an online postgraduate course and wish to delay your commencement, you may be eligible to defer and start your studies later.
Deferring UTS Online postgraduate degrees
Eligibility
You can defer your course offer
- If your offer is to study an online postgraduate course commencing in sessions 1 to 5.
- If you intend to defer to a session within the same intake year.
You cannot defer
- If you have been made an offer to the:
- Graduate Certificate in Marketing and Technology
- Graduate Certificate in Marketing and Digital Strategy
- Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health
- If you intend to defer your studies to the following year. If so, simply reapply to UTS when you are ready to commence your studies.
Note: If you are a current UTS student and completed at least one subject, and wish to take a break from your studies, you can apply for Leave of Absence.
When is the last day to defer?
The last day to defer your online postgraduate offer is the session commencement date.

How do I defer?

Accepted an offer and enrolled in subjects | Submit an ASK UTS online enquiry. In submitting a request to defer your offer, you will be withdrawn from any enrolled subjects. |
