10 adjustments for women in specified engineering, IT and construction courses

If you identify as a female and have applied for select engineering, information technology or construction project management courses, you will automatically receive 10 adjustments for both UAC and Early Entry Program applications.

What is the women in engineering, information technology and construction entry scheme?

By supporting female applicants to these undergraduate courses, the scheme encourages a diverse student cohort while challenging the gender gap in these industries.

The 10 adjustments awarded through the scheme are added to your ATAR or other qualification rank, resulting in a higher selection rank and a better chance of meeting your course’s minimum requirements.

Who is eligible for the adjustment points under the scheme?

To be eligible for the scheme, you must:

  • identify as female
  • preference an engineering, information technology or construction project management course in your application through Universities Admissions Centre or the Early Entry Program.

What courses are included?

The following courses are only available through UAC, not the Early Entry program:  

  • Bachelor of Computing Science (IDeA)
  • Bachelor of Cybersecurity (IDeA)
  • Bachelor of Information Technology (Co-op).

Do I need to complete an application to be considered for the scheme?

No, the adjustments will be automatically applied if you are eligible. You do not need to complete any additional application.
