Study Engineering at UTS

This transdisciplinary course allows you to combine your Engineering degree with the skills and attributes you’ll need for professional practice and leadership. While gaining technical skills in your engineering major of choice, you will also cultivate necessary skills in creative and critical thinking, business analysis, and entrepreneurship.

The course provides foundations in engineering theory, technical expertise and knowledge of professional practice. You will also undertake 12 weeks of industry experience, where you will be exposed to real-world engineering challenges and be able to put your knowledge and skills into practice.

What you’ll study

This dual degree course will provide you with sound foundations in physical modelling, mathematics, creative methods and professional practice. You will have the choice of 11 Engineering majors, where you will be able to pursue a specialised field of practice. The Creative Intelligence and Innovation component will see you study transdisciplinary practice, creative methods and entrepreneurial initiatives. The course involves significant industry engagement and ensures graduates have the required technical skills as well as the ability to be critical thinkers and creative innovators.
