Five benefits to combine your Law degree
Don’t sacrifice your passions
Have your heart set on two degrees but can’t choose? Combine your Law degree with Engineering, Business, Science, Communication, International Studies or Creative Intelligence and Innovation. With over 10 UTS combined Law degrees to choose from, you’ll be able to have your (university) cake and eat it too.
Two degrees in five years
In most cases, a combined degree is one year longer than a standalone Law agree. But don’t let that scare you. Employers are looking for well-rounded students who are committed, organised and can prioritise their workload. Prove to them that you can complete a combined degree whilst undertaking extra-curricular activities and completing law internships.
Expand your skills
Some students choose to study a combined degree because they are sure about their career path. For example, become a commercial lawyer with a combined degree in Business and Law. Or, support the rights of the environment and all living things with a combined degree in Science and Law.
If you’re unsure about your career path, that’s ok too. Some students don’t want to use their second non-law degree as a career option. The upside? Studying law with another degree will help you understand how the law relates to the outside world and gain skills applicable to any profession.
The opportunities are endless.
