Nihad Aliyev: navigating new horizons through business and entrepreneurship at UTS

When Nihad decided to pursue a business degree at UTS, he was ready to embrace his new environment and expand his potential.

Co-founding an online education agency

In addition to his studies, Nihad co-founded an online education agency in 2011 that assists students with applications to overseas universities, visa documentation, and educational consulting.

For Nihad, balancing this venture with his studies at UTS has been a rewarding challenge. Networking, meetings and engaging with business professionals has also enriched his learning experience and provided him with much needed practical advice. 

“Running a business while studying has allowed me to directly apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing both my education and my entrepreneurial journey.” 

Aspiring for future growth   

One of the most rewarding aspects of Nihad's degree was the limitless potential for future growth. The flexibility inherent in the business world means that there are always new paths to explore and opportunities to seize.  

“UTS’s practical business assignments and expert faculty have equipped me with the tools and confidence to thrive in the global business environment.” 

Nihad intends to leverage this potential to become a professor at UTS after completing his PhD, continuing to engage and give back to this vibrant academic community that he believes has given him so much. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Digital Finance CRC.
