Absorbed in Sydney’s business hub: Axel Thunhorst’s international journey at UTS

The city of Sydney played a crucial role in Axel Thunhorst’s decision to pursue a master’s degree at UTS. Originally from Germany, studying business and finance, it was essential for Axel to immerse himself in an international metropolis teeming with multinational businesses and diverse cultures. He felt Sydney offered many opportunities for career and education, but also everyday life and leisure.

Hands-on learning and scientific thinking

One of the standout aspects of the master’s program at UTS is the emphasis on assignments and written tasks. This approach has significantly improved Axel’s ability to think scientifically and manage projects independently and in detail. These skills enabled him to take on challenging roles with significant responsibilities and leadership prospects from the beginning.

A particularly enriching part of the studies has been working on group projects with peers from various nationalities and cultures. Navigating different communication styles and productivity approaches has taught Axel the importance of finding collaborative solutions that respect diverse perspectives.
