Tech Lab
Tech Lab is a brand new research facility that brings together different areas of engineering and information technology under one roof. Located in Botany, a collaborative environment enables the university and industry to work together on applied research that delivers real, sustained impact for partners.
ProtoSpace
ProtoSpace is an additive and advanced manufacturing facility offering industry partners, academics and students access to cutting-edge 3D technologies, software and technical expertise. It supports innovation in R&D, drives collaboration across sectors and disciplines, and builds partnerships that can unlock the next generation of manufacturing opportunities.
Data Arena
The UTS Data Arena is a 360-degree interactive data visualisation facility that changes the way data is viewed and manipulated. A high performance computer graphic system drives video projectors to create a three-dimensional panorama on a cylindrical screen four metres high and ten metres in diameter. The facility helps simplify complex information for business, government, and research.
Rapido
UTS Rapido is an advanced technology development unit supporting organisations to deliver hardware and software prototypes and solutions. It works closely with clients, from not-for-profits and start-ups to corporations, to solve a specific problem or commercialise UTS research using an array of resources available at the university including: mechanical and electronics design, concept development, prototyping, software, industrial design and product testing.
DataLounge
The UTS DataLounge is a multipurpose meeting and training room and host for data-led activities.
Equipped with a next-generation multi-user, multi-touch interactive LCD video wall, the room is designed to help groups explore, interpret, ideate and deliver insights. It can be used for short courses, master classes and executive training in areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and advanced 3D modelling.
