UTS is cognisant of the risk of foreign interference and foreign bribery on its activities. You must report any concerns.
Foreign interference
Foreign interference is activity that is:
- carried out by, or on behalf of, a foreign power
- coercive, corrupting, deceptive and/or clandestine, and
- contrary to Australia’s sovereignty, values and national interests.
Foreign interference activities go beyond routine diplomatic influence practised by governments.
Report concerns
You can report concerns of foreign interference:
- under the Whistleblowing and Public Interest Disclosures Policy, or
- to the International Business Assurance Team (IBAT@uts.edu.au).

Foreign bribery
Foreign bribery is bribery of a foreign public official. It is a serious criminal offence that carries heavy penalties. UTS has a zero-tolerance approach to foreign bribery.
Foreign bribery has many harmful effects for UTS and for Australia. It is a form of fraud and is managed in line with the Fraud and Corruption Prevention Policy.
