Lodge your application
Domestic and international students who are applying for a Master’s Degree by Research or PhD program at UTS can use this online application form.
If you’d like to be considered for a UTS competitive scholarship, make sure you lodge this application during the open application period.
If you have confirmed funding through a faculty scholarship, external scholarship, IDP or are self-funding you can submit this online form at any time.
Before you start your application
To ensure your application can be considered promptly, make sure you have:
- confirmed a supervisor
- selected a course with your supervisor
- completed any faculty-specific pre-admission requirements
- written a research proposal, and
- certified, translated and prepared ALL (including copy of your passport) of your documents.

What to expect in the application form
If you have prepared your documents, the application form will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Once you register for the UTS Student Portal, you can save and complete your application at any time.
During the application process, you’ll be asked to provide proof that you:
- meet the eligibility criteria
- meet the English language requirements
- have confirmed funding or proof that you can financially support yourself, and
- completed faculty-specific pre-admission requirements.
You’ll also be asked if:
- you would like to be considered for a UTS competitive scholarship, and
- you have an existing relationship or affiliation with UTS.
