Procedures for the use of the official noticeboard
1. Introduction
These procedures have been prepared to provide a statement about the proper use and maintenance of the official noticeboard on the UTS website.
2. Authority
The Governance Support Unit, on behalf of the University Secretary, has the authority to authorise the display of official university notices and information on the official noticeboard.
3. Official notices
Official notices will be posted by staff designated by the University Secretary.
4. Use of the noticeboard
The official noticeboard is to be used solely for posting specified types of official university notices and information.
4.1 New rules and rule changes
In accordance with Part 4, Div 3, Clause 46 (1) of the UTS By-law a rule must be promulgated by publication on the UTS website.
4.2 Election notices and results
Election notices about current UTS elections are posted on the elections website.
4.3 Academic Board and Council minutes
The minutes and reports of meetings of the Academic Board and Council are available from the official noticeboard.
5. Maintenance and location of the official noticeboard
5.1 The official noticeboard will be maintained by the Governance Support Unit as part of the UTS website, the contents of which are the responsibility of the University Secretary.
5.2 No material is to be placed on, or removed from, the official noticeboard without the prior knowledge and approval of the University Secretary.
5.3 The official noticeboard, and the notices and information on them, must not be changed, removed or relocated without the prior knowledge and approval of the University Secretary.
