The ability to write clearly and academically is an essential skill at university. At HELPS, we can review your writing and provide you with individualised feedback. The only way to improve your writing is to be aware of any issues you may have, and learn how to overcome them. That's what we do.
Writing support
Assignment chat (Drop-ins)
At drop-in advice sessions you can ask quick questions about your studies and assessments (except for any subject content matter) without having to make an appointment.
One-to-One consultation
After you have attended a drop-in advice session, if a longer consultation is required you may be able to book in for a 30-minute one-to-one consultation. Having a one-to-one consultation is an opportunity for an in-depth discussion in relation to your specific needs on an assessment.
Online Assignment review
Wish someone could give you feedback on your writing? Not sure if your writing style is academic, or if you are using correct English expressions? An online assignment review provides you an opportunity to get feedback on your assignment draft via email.
Daily Workshops
We run daily workshops throughout the Autumn and Spring teaching periods on improving your writing, grammar, speaking as well as study skills.
Holiday Courses
HELPS is continuing to support you through the holiday period! We are running intensive academic English programs during the semester break . The workshops are free and open to all UTS students.
