What you’ll study

During the course you’ll complete a range of core communication units, building a vital foundational understanding of the wider discipline. In parallel, you'll begin specialising your learning with media business subjects, covering topics like law and ethics, digital media, creative entrepreneurship and finance.

Your choice of electives will give you the chance to widen your expertise in other key areas such as journalism, strategic communication, streaming, writing and more. You can also opt to pursue a second major in another communication discipline to grow your specialised knowledge and pair it with the executive skills you are developing in your media business Major. 

Course highlights

This program is designed to support your capacity for business success in competitive creative industries, and deal with the accelerating changes wrought by new technology and dynamic environments whilst establishing ethical media practices. You'll have the opportunity to build your capabilities as a decision-maker, media executive and entrepreneur. You’ll build on your assessment projects each semester to graduate with a job-ready portfolio of work.
