The Ministry of Health, Samoa requested the WHO CC for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Development, UTS to provide a number of study tours in: human resources management; HRH; conducting demographic health surveys, nursing and midwifery management and information management.These were funded by MoH Samoa, World Bank Sector Wide Approach Program. The purpose of the study tours was to provide some exposure to other systems including an overview of the tools and systems used in another country. There were a total of 16 participants, and an evaluation was conducted that concluded that the majority of the objectives were met and overall the programs were successful.
