FEIT iMentor Program

The FEIT iMentor Program provides peer-to-peer mentoring for international students in the Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT), supporting your transition to UTS. 

Starting university in a new country is an exciting, yet challenging experience, particularly when navigating a new culture and academic environment. Through this program, first-year students are connected with experienced mentors who offer guidance, advice, and a supportive network to help you settle into life at UTS. 

Our mentors are friendly international students from FEIT who have gone through similar experiences and are eager to share their insights and support you along your journey.

Note: The program is only available to international students from the Faculty of Engineering and IT. If you are a new student who is interested in joining as a mentee, keep an eye out closer to the start of Spring session 2025 for more details. A UTS account is required for access.

Survival Guide

The Survival Guide is a free online resource designed to help commencing UTS students.

It contains essential information and useful tips to support your transition to life at university. Multiple aspects of the student experience are covered, including academic studies, social life, wellbeing and careers. You'll also find important resources and advice specific to international students.

 The FEIT International Student Ambassadors (iAmbassadors) represent the international student body on behalf of the faculty. As a team, the iAmbassadors lead initiatives and programs for the benefit of their peers.

Catherine Hi, I'm Catherine and I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Information Systems. In my free time, I love to go hiking and check out different bakeries in Sydney to find the best croissants.

Jason Hello, I'm Jason, an iAmbassador from China, studying a Master of Information Technology. When I'm not immersed in technology and academics, I enjoy trying new foods, listening to music, and playing tennis.

YT Hey! I'm YT, an iAmbassador from Hong Kong. I am studying a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Data Science. I love to drink tea and enjoy jazz music.

Andrea Hey there! I'm Andrea, an iAmbassador from Vietnam, studying Computing Science. Outside of uni, you will usually find me jamming to music and reading books.

The goal is to build a supportive community for all international students here in the faculty. The iAmbassadors achieve this through facilitating social connections and providing wellbeing support to enhance the student experience.
