Academic advice
Find the right place to get help with a question related to your subjects, major or course.
I have a question related to a specific subject
In the first instance, consult your class lecturer or tutor. You can ask them in class or they may have drop-in times available at the FEIT Learning Precinct.
If they are unable to assist, consult the Subject Coordinator (contact details are in the subject outline available in Canvas).
I have a question related to my major or course
The Program Coordinator for your major or course can provide advice on your study plan.
I have long-term circumstances which may affect my studies
Consult the relevant Academic Liaison Officer.
Academic Liaison Officers (ALO) are academic staff in each faculty who assist students experiencing difficulties in their studies due to:
- disability and/or ongoing health condition
- carer responsibilities (e.g. being a primary carer for small children or a family member with a disability)
- pregnancy
ALOs are responsible for approving adjustments to assessment arrangements for students in these categories.
If you need adjustments due to disability and/or ongoing health condition, please discuss your situation with an Accessibility Consultant in the Accessibility Service before consulting the relevant ALO.
I have a question related to an administrative matter, such as changing my enrolment
Consult the Current Student pages for essential information and instructions on how to manage your course or visit the Student Centre.
You can also contact the Student Centre by phone, 1300 ASK UTS (1300 275 887) or submit an online enquiry or request related to your enrolment or study plan via an eRequest.
I have a query regarding my result in an assessment task or subject
If you believe an error may have been made in the calculation of your result (mark or grade) in an assessment task or the final result in a subject, follow the instructions to raise a query.
