  Acquire critical skills in organism function, environmental impact assessment, and recovery strategies. Engage in hands-on learning through excursions and collaborations with industry leaders, ensuring you're equipped for real-world challenges.

  This course gives students a thorough understanding of the way living organisms function in terrestrial and aquatic environments, acquisition of skills to study them and the ability to detect and assess detrimental effects on the environment such as climate change, pollution and human resource use. Students learn these skills and concepts through a dynamic combination of theory, field and laboratory experiences. Excursions and studios with industry and community partners undertaken the latter years of study provide opportunities to consolidate knowledge, apply new skills to creative solutions and learn through experience.

  Your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a score between 0.00 and 99.95. It shows you how you rank compared to all the students in your year group in New South Wales. A selection rank combines your ATAR with any other adjustment points that make up your overall university entrance score. Your selection rank may differ from university to university, depending on the adjustment points granted to you at each institution.

  If you find yourself rapt by the world of innovation – you can pair your core degree with a Diploma in Innovation, graduating with two qualifications in the same timeframe.

  The course is offered over four years full time. Students may also complete the course part-time over eight years. Part-time students may need to attend science classes for at least one half-day a week, in addition to evening classes.

  Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level.
