Study Business and Sustainability at UTS

The Bachelor of Business Bachelor of Sustainability and Environment offers you a sound background in business and the multidisciplinary knowledge of sustainability required to operate within the green economy.

You begin by exploring core areas of business and build your knowledge of sustainability as a scientific, legal and social domain. In the latter years of the course, you undertake one of nine business majors to develop in-depth knowledge of the business context and work with industry and community partners in studio subjects to address real sustainability issues.

What you’ll study

The course comprises a total of 192 credit points. The study components for course completion are as follows.

The Business component of 96 credit points comprises a core of foundation subjects (48 credit points), and a business major (48 credit points).

Students can choose any one of the following as a business major:

The Sustainability and Environment component of 96 credit points comprises five core subjects (48 credit points), and four streams which include science, governance, society and business & management electives (12 credit points each).

Course highlights

Throughout this course, you'll be taught to develop a comprehensive toolkit of knowledge and skills in vital areas of business, such as finance, business management and marketing. Your major will then help you specialise your skills in line with your career aspirations.

Interdisciplinary learning will equip students with the knowledge to understand the interconnections between environmental, economic, social and cultural sustainability and develop skills to tackle the complexity of achieving a sustainable future.
