What you’ll study
This program gives you the opportunity to build a degree that's uniquely yours. You'll begin your studies with your Accounting major, then have the chance to add in a secondary major or two sub-majors from other areas of Business, honing your learning to meet your career goals or opt to broaden your learning experience with your choice of elective units from across discipline areas, such as arts, law and information technology.
You’ll also complete two six-month professional internships at leading companies, such as PwC, ASX, and Macquarie.

First year
You’ll commence your core Business units, giving you a comprehensive foundational knowledge of the discipline. You'll learn about business finance, accounting information systems, business statistics, the Australian corporate environment and more, and undertake your first professional internship. -
Second year
In your second year, you'll begin your Accounting major, building knowledge in areas like cost management, taxation law and decisions and control. You'll choose your secondary major, two sub-majors or a single sub-major plus electives from across UTS disciplines. -
Third year
You’ll finalise your studies with your second hands-on internship, giving you the chance to put your learning into practice. You'll also complete a business analysis capstone unit, where you'll learn valuations using both financial and non-financial data.

Industry accreditation
This course meets the educational membership requirements for admission as a member of CPA Australia (CPAA), Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Additionally, the course provides exemptions from multiple subjects which need to be completed for membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
