First year
You’ll undertake several core Public Health subjects, learning about health systems, primary care and epidemiology. You’ll also begin your creative intelligence studies, starting the process of understanding the complex art of problem-solving and innovative thinking. -
Second year
Continuing your learning, you’ll get deeper insights into key health areas, such as disease prevention and management, health promotion and advocacy and project management. -
Third year
This year, you’ll shape your learning with your choice of electives from within Public Health or from other UTS disciplines like Business, Science and Arts. You’ll undertake a professional placement or opt to design your own speculative start-up. -
Fourth year
In your final year, you’ll get the benefit of lots of practical experience, completing both a professional health placement and an industry innovation project. You’ll also finish any remaining units from your core and optional streams prior to graduation. -
Honours
Eligible students can apply for the Bachelor of Public Health (Honours). Completion of this program requires an additional year of full-time study.
Course highlights
