What you’ll study
In this four-year program, you'll build a wide variety of knowledge, skills and competencies in nursing and healthcare. You'll establish your essential understanding of areas like pharmacology, pathophysiology and multidisciplinary teamwork, putting them to use first in the classroom, before developing your skills in practical clinical placements.
In Creative Intelligence and Design, you'll develop an advanced capacity for innovative thinking and attain valuable experience through internship opportunities and your capstone project. Shape your learning further with your choice of electives from this disciplinary area.

First year
You'll commence your studies with core Nursing subjects, building your foundational knowledge of health, society and clinical practice. You'll also learn about creative approaches and how they can be applied to reach innovative solutions to complex issues. -
Second year
This year, you’ll undertake clinical practice subjects and advance your health knowledge in areas like pathophysiology and pharmacology. You'll learn about the history and future of innovation and get to apply your newly developed creative approach in a workplace internship. -
Third year
This year, you'll continue enhancing your nursing skills, learning essential workplace competencies such as mentoring, leadership, and compassion. You'll enhance your creative intelligence with studies into new ideas and future scenarios and build hands-on experience in your knowledge-making lab. -
Fourth year
In your final year, you’ll complete an advanced industry innovation project and choose from designing your own speculative start-up and completing a second workplace internship. You'll also finalise your nursing studies, focusing on preparing for the transition to professional practice. -
Honours
Eligible students can apply for the Bachelor of Nursing (Honours). Completion of this program requires an additional year of full-time study.
Skills you'll develop
In this program we teach workplace-ready capabilities in clinical nursing practice, which can be applied to a range of settings, such as aged care and mental health. This program is designed to equip you with a comprehensive innovative skillset encompassing creative methodologies, complex problem-solving and entrepreneurship.
