What you’ll study
This dual degree is designed to be completed in four years full-time. You'll undertake a number of core Public Health and Business subjects, building your essential competencies in areas like health systems, disease prevention and control, business finance and marketing.
You'll then enhance your business learning through your choice of our eight major programs, which include Accounting, Human Resources, Management and more. A public health placement subject will give you invaluable hands-on experience in a real workplace, while Transdisciplinary and Business electives allow you to further tailor your educational journey.

First year
Commencing your studies, you'll begin completing core units from your Business and Public Health streams. You'll learn about economics and customer value and begin building a solid understanding of public health and its role in our modern society. -
Second year
In your second year, you’ll continue your core studies, developing your understanding of finance and accounting and learning about contemporary perspectives and frameworks in Public Health. You'll begin specialising your business knowledge as you commence studies towards your chosen major. -
Third year
Building on your solid foundations, you'll examine key areas of Public Health and learn about disease prevention, management and control at a population level. Continuing your major studies, you'll also enhance your learning experience with your choice of business elective. -
Fourth year
In your final year, you'll complete any remaining core Public Health and major subjects, getting valuable insight into Indigenous Health and Sustainability. Your Public Health professional placement will give you the hands-on, practical experience you need to succeed in the workplace. -
Honours
Eligible students can apply for the Bachelor of Public Health (Honours). Completion of this program requires an additional year of full-time study.
