The course is designed as a fourth-year add-on to the Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathology). It is only available through a competitive application process to students who complete the pathology program.

Emerge as an expert in diagnostic methods for different diseases, as well as in the workflow, regulations and health and safety requirements of professional pathology environments.

What you’ll study

In this course, you'll acquire specialist medical laboratory skills, knowledge and experience. Study subjects in human pathophysiology, applied pathology technology, molecular pathology and laboratory management. You will also complete a  professional placement in a hospital laboratory or related medical environment.
