What you’ll study

Sustainability and Social Impact is a major stream offered within the Bachelor of Management. A major involves completing a range of subjects in a specialised area and is generally informed by your future career goals.

This major will give you a thorough understanding of sustainable business practices and teach you to lead change and achieve social impact. You will also complete a number of core management units to build essential business and leadership capabilities. You'll enhance your learning further through your choice of a secondary major, sub-majors or elective subjects.

  1. First year

    Develop foundational skills in management, marketing, and strategy. Explore the socio-political context of management, and dive into innovation and entrepreneurship. Customise your learning with elective options, and prepare for future trends in innovation.
  2. Second year

    Gain practical experience in the Innovation Lab, and learn to manage risk and opportunity. Address legal issues in business, and choose from electives, a sub-major or a second major to personalise your studies.
  3. Third year

    Explore complexity and sustainability, engage in advocacy and social change, and apply your knowledge through a business internship or studying diversity management. Complete your studies with the capstone in managing for social impact, alongside elective options.

Course Highlights

This program will help prepare you to lead people, teams, and organisations and implement innovative initiatives to achieve positive social and environmental outcomes.
