What you’ll study

Sports Business is a major offered within Bachelor of Management. You'll undertake a number of core disciplinary subjects to build your knowledge of management principles in areas like marketing, finance and innovation.

You'll then complete a range of specialised subjects related to your major, learning about the management of professional sporting organisations and mega-events, such as the Olympics, Paralympics and the FIFA World Cup. A selection rank combines your ATAR with any other adjustment points that make up your overall university entrance score. Your selection rank may differ from university to university, depending on the adjustment points granted to you at each institution.

Transdisciplinary Electives integrate knowledge from multiple disciplines, allowing you to approach complex problems from a range of perspectives.

If you find yourself rapt by the world of innovation – you can pair your core degree with a Diploma in Innovation, graduating with two qualifications in the same timeframe.

Students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Management and have previously studied at another university or other recognised tertiary educational institution may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if the subjects previously studied are deemed by Business to be equivalent to those specified for their course.

Students who have completed a course at a private college are not eligible for any exemptions unless an articulation agreement between Business and the college is in place. Details of all arrangements are available via the credit recognition search tool.
