Dr. Sanjoy Paul 00:00
I try to start with a basic question why UTS for strategic Supply Chain Management, that's been why you'd love to have this, this degree. The first one is it is an industry focused program. There's been we are well connected with industry, we solve real life cases, we have guest lecturer from industry. So definitely you will get valuable inputs from this industry, and you will get you know, what's going on in the industry and how can you solve real life cases, we'll have lots of tools and techniques that can be applied to some in the industry problems. And second reason is our program is research inspired learning degree. So, there's been our academics, they are leader in this area, they do research and they have up to date knowledge and skill and recent updates and about different areas of supply chain ministry. So, you will be benefited and those by those skill and knowledge and they will share with you so that you can apply those recent tools and techniques to solve real life cases, real life problems. Third one is our program is a holistic program. That means we cover all aspects of supply chain management starting from procurement, manufacturing, risk management, technology management, quality management and so on. So, this is a very, I would say, very intensive program in terms of content. All the content related to operations and supply chain management, you will get from this program and that is really useful for any future employer because employers are looking for this kind of skill from any employer so you will be benefited from that kind of learning. And third one is in Sydney, our program is only one program, they offer this holistic program on supplies and management. And I believe that demand of these degrees increasing because you know, COVID this pandemic, so during this pandemic and becomes popular, and the demand is growing, and we know that in Australia, there are significant skill shortages in this area. So, your demand when you will be you'll complete his degree, I believe your chance to getting employed is significantly high in supply chain area.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 02:39
Then another one is our program is CIPS accredited, that's the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. This is a very well known, well known accredited body and when you enrol in our program, you will get access to the materials. So that's when you will get a student membership and once you complete the complete the degree you will be eligible to get their full membership and it is evident that who are affiliated by seats, their salary could be higher than normal graduate. So, this is a this is another significant benefit, I would say. And the last one is our program is ranked by a reputed ranking Institute which is QS World University Ranking and I'm pleased to say that we are ranked first in Australia. So, and also globally we rank in top 35 so we can understand that the quality we maintain and how we take care of our students and make sure their learnings are really up to date and make sure they get the most recent and personalised is once they graduate from our program. So, our program has four different options. Program options, the smaller one is smallest one is graduate certificate, which then you can complete four subjects. It is one semester equivalent takes six months full time and you can get graduate certificate. Then another one is if you complete eight subjects, you will get Graduate Diploma, it is one-year full-time, two-year part time. Then third one is Master program, which has 11 subjects are 72 credit equivalents, it is one and half year program full time and three years part time. And the last one is more extensive one which is two-year program 15 subject and 96 credited equivalent and part time I believe part time will be 4 years for this program. Anyone can start a credit certificate and gradually progress to towards the extension one, so it is up to your choice, which one you want to enrol and complete accordingly. Yes, so this is 4 program options we have.
Dr. Moira Scerri 05:08
So as Sanjoy mentioned, the program is structured into four separates, we say that they're nested. So, with the nesting of the subjects, the graduate certificate is where you start. If you have work experience, we recommend that you enrol in the Graduate Certificate first, and then you see how you go, you can then use that to either exit with a graduate certificate with some sort of qualification or you can then roll that over to do the additional subjects for the master and then again, once you've completed those, you can roll that over into the from the Graduate Diploma, sorry, to the master's program. The way that the subjects are structured, we recommend that you follow the subjects as we've got outlined so we have a program that's set up. The subjects are only offered either in the Autumn semester or the spring semester so there is a process that you would actually go through to follow those projects, those subjects. As Sanjoy mentioned, we do cover a holistic range of supply chain operations and supply chain subjects. Other universities may focus on warehousing, or logistics for a part of the supply chain. Whereas we've taken a different approach, where we cover all of the operations that occur throughout the supply chain. All the way from raw materials to the customer and back so ours is very much a holistic view there. You'll notice that the subjects, we've got subjects that are what we refer to as core subjects, and these subjects are the subjects with the X next to them so you must take these subjects to be able to complete the course. We also have subjects that you can choose as an elective and with those elective subjects, you can choose up to 12 credit points, or up to 18 credit points for the extension to be able to choose any of these additional subjects that go to complement the core subjects. So, this nesting is really important because what it does is we give you the opportunity to have domain expertise, in other words in supply chain, but also embedded in those subjects we also recognise that being able to communicate with other disciplines, HR, sales and marketing, finance, those communication skills are also strongly required by supply chain professionals. We call them T shaped skills, and these are embedded in the subjects that we teach as well. So, I hope that gives you an overview of how the subjects is structured or nested as we refer to them and I'll hand over to Maruf, who will go through and give you a bit of the practical example of what we do.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 08:15
Here in this slide, I'll show you a real-life example, how different processes of supply chain management are conducted and how they are integrated. So as Sanjoy and Moira told, we have a comprehensive program covering different aspects of operations and supply chain instead of focusing on only one part of the supply chain. So here in this example, you see a daily supply chain and in this daily supply chain, you see we have a supply chain of different entities and if we explain the supply chain management process, we'll see there are activities in the upstream part and the other activities in the downstream part. So upper stream part is basically the activities that are done before production and downstream part means the activities that need to be completed after production of the finished product, okay. In the case of dairy product here, you see before starting dairy product like cheese or butter, you need to source raw material and the raw material that is the fresh milk from the farm and these raw material need to be sourced that is you need to go for procurement of raw material not only milk but also other relevant raw materials for making the dairy products and in that case, when you go for sourcing you also need transportation and warehousing process. You need to take a decision how many units of raw material you will be sourcing and then once you source all raw material, then you will go for conversion of raw material to finished product. You need to take different production and operations management decision in order to produce the product more effectively and efficiently in order to compete in the market and once you finish the production, then you need to go for sales and distribution. You need to understand the market, you need to understand the demand, the consumer behaviour and you need to then go for transportation and distribution of the finished products to the customers. Here in this example, you see you have a downstream customer, either business customers who are selling dairy products in the supermarkets, or you will see some restaurants or coffee houses. So, these all are the downstream customers to whom you will be selling your product so, in the overall process, you need planning and supply chain management planning is very important and in that planning process, you have to take decision on quantity and quality. So, for example, you need to take decision how many units of product you're producing and in order to do that, you also need to understand how many units of raw material you need. So, you need to store their raw material, you need to do inventory planning, you need to forecast demand so there are a lot of decisions there in the overall supply chain management process. So, in our program, we cover from the demand planning to analytics, to technology management, to operations management, to quality management, every aspect. So, this is total guided, a tool, total comprehensive guidance relating to overall supply chain management process, and I hope you will enjoy our program, and this is as Sanjoy and Moira told this is a comprehensive program and this is the best program in Australia, which is proven, and it is ranked number one in Australia and throughout the world it's certified. Thank you all for participating today's session.
Dr. Moira Scerri 12:38
Can I just also make a comment? So, whilst we provided the example here of a physical, you know, case study, we also specialise and incorporates the service industries. So, you know, we do a lot around, you know, banking and finance and payments and health and, you know, so it is a holistic course, it's not just for physical distribution, but also service industries.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 13:04
And the other thing is we have experts from different area. For example, in service operations, Moira has expertise in a strategical aspect, Reno has expertise in manufacturing, risk management and analytics about fungi, I have experience, and Shemitah is also experienced. So, we have expertise in diversified field, to cover and to end supply chain processes.
Dhurata Stenaj 13:31
OK so past two years, we've had a very disruptive two years of COVID, so it's been online, anyone hybrid that went back online. One of the questions that we have in the chat box is, "Is this post grad degree designed for remote learning?" She's located in Brisbane, but she would like to do this online. So, what is the, I guess? What's the plan for this program going forwards?
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 14:33
Okay, so this is a common question during this time you know that because we are working from home, we are having remote learning and last year we had our online learning for our program, but we are planning to go back to face to face from next semester. So, it's a university decision, but we plan to continue our face-to-face learning because we believe that face to face learning is more engaging, more, more communicating so a student learns better from face-to-face learning. So, we don't have any complete remote learning session, but currently running that but we are planning to design a full online course, of course, that would be designed for online and remote learning, completely remote but that hasn't completed yet. So yes, current program, it is we are planning to pack face to face.
Dhurata Stenaj 15:32
Excellent. Thank you. Well, that's quite exciting that you're designing that online program, I think that's going to be really important for a lot of people around Australia that means that everyone can do it, or in Australia and internationally. Excellent. Moira, so UTS is well known for its focus on innovation and teaching, particularly in our learning technology. Could you maybe give us explain to our students, what our students can expect from this course from a team learning and technology perspective please.
Dr. Moira Scerri 15:59
So, we've recently or recently moved on to a new learning management system and so within that learning management system, we're able to incorporate structure and incorporate content in a variety of ways. I think we use, you know, the online learning space, as well as a face-to-face learning space, where we really encourage interaction and we facilitate that collaboration with the students through group assignments but also online, we use the technology to make sure that we can still facilitate good discussion, good sharing of information between students. You know, I guess, from our perspective, we all do research, we've all had funded research from industry, so that we can really incorporate some of those contemporary issues and problems into and potential solutions into our, into our course content, which really does bring about rich discussion. I think the other advantage that we can use into that we have in terms of diversity, because we have a good mix of international and domestic students, we really have that richness of discussion, where we can have one topic, but from different perspectives, there's different issues arising and different solutions that come about. So, the fact that we do have this International and diverse group of students means that we can, you know, really foster that richness in, I guess, understanding what's going on in supply chains around the world.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 17:37
Yeah, we also have a mix of our working and non-working history. They have knowledge about the process, and they can share their experience when they go through the content, and they can connect it and explain. So that's why it's a very collaborative learning system so everyone shares, and everyone learn from each other through from those discussions.
Dhurata Stenaj 17:59
Brilliant thank you. Maruf, how would you describe how, I think we were touched by Sanjoy's touched on this already a bit, but how would you describe how academics and teaching staff work with students during the course?
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 18:10
Yeah, we try to provide the best learning experience to the students and as I told before, we have expertise in different areas, and we have the ability to offer a comprehensive program and the subjects that we offer are these needs soft skills and hard skills. So, there are many subjects, which are requiring hardest skill for example, you will see analytics, you will see risk management, you will see operations management, quality management. This requires hard skill, and you need to adopt some skills relating to problem solving and calculations. On the other hand, we have many subjects, which has a lot of which require a lot of soft skill, for example, communication with the supply chain partners, you need to develop as your suppliers, you need to manage performance of your suppliers, you need to manage performance of your distributors and how to improve relationship in order to ensure a smooth and effective and efficient supply chain. So, the thing that we do, we emphasise on a holistic approach of learning practices. We have group discussion, we have case study problem solving we have data set and solving, different hidden information from the data set for predictive analyses, for diagnosing, for prescriptive type of analytics. So we offer different tools and techniques, so that students can understand all to certain techniques and apply in the real life world and we are always cooperative with the students and we try to provide the best experience for learning and as Moira told, we have innovative a learning management system, very interactive learning management system and we make the learning management system easier for the students and provide a try to provide all information that the students want from us.
Dr. Moira Scerri 20:33
I think, also to that point, because a number of us come with experience in service industries and the experience economy. You know, we are well versed in being able, you know, we collaborate together as a group, and we make sure that we've got content, you'll see content in one subject that will come up in another subject so being able to link and be, see the relevance between all of the components that you're doing is something that becomes visible to you as well, which is part of that learning experience. You're not just learning isolated subjects; you'll be able to see the interconnections between them as well.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 21:09
So, these connections are really important and make our program unique, because all subjects are well connected and gradually, you will advance to our concepts. So that is something you will learn, you know, when you start slowly with basic subjects, and gradually progress to add concepts. Also, in terms of quality, I believe our academics provide feedback on time, feedback during the session, and after the session and on your assessment task as well and that something I find really useful for the student to improve for the next assessment tasks and in their analysis. Also, we have small groups in our classroom so we, we have discussion on a specific topic within those small settings and our academic participant in that discussion. So, they become a participant, not as a teacher. So, kind of they solve all the problem together and that is how we learn throughout your journey. So that is something I find the student loved and they appreciate that kind of support from our academic.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 22:25
Yeah, the feedback that we got from the students is that the combination of the program. The subject combination of the program that I do supply chain management, analytics, quality management, risk management, service operations, these are highly demanded subject nowadays and these are the subjects that that employer want that escape from you. So, we offer all those subjects.
Dhurata Stenaj 22:51
Brilliant, thank you so much. It's really insightful. I guess, Sanjoy, you've already touched on this a bit about and how the classes are small and it's very collaborative learning. We have a lot of questions come first asking, "Who will I be studying with?", Like, what's the cohort like? Who are they? Who else will be in that class with me? I'm sure all three of you probably got answer, you'll probably have different unless they're all the same. But Sanjoy, I'll start with you. What's been your experience about what how the cohort is like?
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 23:20
So, in terms of size, our cohort is a maximum 40 students per class. So, this is a small cohort, and this is we make subgroups for our discussion in our classroom settings. So, this is I find really useful compared to many other universities because they have big class, and they just have lecture and those sorts of things. But in our, our setting, we have small subgroups and they learn each other. And in terms of cohort, we have mix of domestic and international students and from international we have European and mostly from European and Asian countries. So, this is a kind of mix of students from around the world and this is something you will have mix of culture, mix of experience and mix of knowledge. Also, I find many students are from engineering background, and also from business background. So, when you blend those engineering knowledge and business models together, I believe there is no question that something great will come out from there. So yes, it is a good cohort in terms of mixing and resilience and backgrounds and also in terms of sites. So yes.
Dr. Moira Scerri 24:31
I think also the key point is we also have a mix of ages.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 24:34
Yeah.
Dr. Moira Scerri 24:36
You know, so, you know, we do have that sort of diversity that brings out you know, that richness of discussion experience and also, we teach on indigenous programs, you know, the supply chain. So, we're able to incorporate, you know, some, you know, some of the key supply chain problems that other people don't necessarily touch on. For example, you know, one of the key problems about how we get fresh fruit and vegetables to regional parts of Australia, you know, which is critical to the livelihoods and well-being of indigenous people. So, you know, we talk about that, and we're able to discuss that and really put our minds to solving some of these problems.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 25:33
Thank you for your question. So, we designed our program in such a way that you will develop your skill gradually. We start from the core subjects and then build your knowledge, then we go to advanced level subjects or higher, you need a little bit of advanced knowledge. This is a continuous process, so extension program is two-year program so you we are developing your skill gradually and, in my experience, I have seen many students from many different backgrounds, and they have really done well. So, in my opinion, of course, you can do it.
Dr. Moira Scerri 26:18
Can I just intersect, interject there?
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 26:21
Yeah.
Dr. Moira Scerri 26:22
There's no advantage of enrolling directly in the extension program and actually, there's a little bit of a risk. That if you don't do the subjects in a particular order, and you can't finish that you know, you don't end up with the subject, you don't end up with a combination of subjects that gives you a degree, let's say. So, you're actually better off enrolling in whichever course you'd like to remember that if you only have work, if you have an undergraduate and you only have work experience, you have to start in the Graduate Diploma in the graduate certificate and then build up. Yeah.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 27:02
I believe, I believe just to have your undergraduate degree you would be eligible for our extension program because the extension program is designed most specifically designed for international students for two years visa requirement. So yes, if you are from overseas countries, you need to enrol in our extension program. If you have an undergraduate degree.
Dr. Moira Scerri 27:26
Yeah.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 27:26
And also, there are some other criteria in terms of IBPS and other English score. So, you can definitely comply that and enrol in our extension.
Dr. Moira Scerri 27:37
Yeah, I was referring to the domestic students.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 27:39
yeah, yeah, you will be fine.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 27:43
Just a quick information to add for international students two options. One and half year master or extension so extension is most suggested because of your visa requirement extension will be helpful.
Dhurata Stenaj 28:00
Excellent. Thank you. My next question, I think is also going to help answer the one that's in the chat. It’s their opportunities to work with real organisations, or is the internships available? Who would like to answer this one? I'll give it to Sanjoy.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 28:14
No problem. So, we have we have a subject we called an internship, and also our capstone. So that's when you can choose either capstone to do a research project, or you can choose internship to do internship with industry, but in this year, we are not running internship during 2022. But if you enrol an admit, I believe, from 2023, that internship subject will be open for enrolment and yes, so you have any both options, so you need to take one of them.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 28:50
Yeah, I think because of COVID. It's starting a little bit late. Yeah.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 28:55
So, you have both opportunities. So, whatever you like to do research or do internship, so it's, it's really up to you.
Dhurata Stenaj 29:02
And is there anything in particular you do in the research or the internship? That was the question as well. Or was it, how does it exactly work?
Dr. Moira Scerri 29:10
So, in the, in the research project, we encourage students are required to define identify research problem. We often help frame those research problems and then they need to go about a structured process of how they would go about actually looking to analyse, to analyse that research problem and come up with some potential solutions or some recommendations so we follow that traditional process. In an internship, that's different because you are required to do a number of hours, I believe it's 200 but I'd need to double check for that for a master's program. But in traditional internships, the student, the employer and the academic, collaboratively, discuss what the outcome of that internship is, will be and what the success of that internship would look like and then the student goes about working with the organisation to achieve those agreed outcomes, they do a report back to the academic and to the organisation, and it gets assessed accordingly.
Dhurata Stenaj 30:16
Thank you so much for that Moira. I guess another question that we get quite a lot is, I might go to you Sanjoy, "Is it better for me to do a master’s in strategic supply chain management? Or should I do an MBA with a major supply chain management?", I mean, I guess you can answer this in two ways but what would you if someone were to ask you that. How would you answer that kind of question?
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 30:40
That is a tricky question there because MBA also many students prefer to do MBA and also having a supply chain knowledge so that they can establish themselves as a supply chain professional. But if you are really focused to build your career in in supply scenario, I believe, and our program would be better because this program is mostly focused on developing new skill on different areas of supply chain. But in my MBA, I believe you have may have basic concepts, but you will not get advanced tools and techniques what you have this from this specialised program. So yes.
Dr. Moira Scerri 31:17
I think I think your word specialised is the really key thing.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 31:22
Yes.
Dr. Moira Scerri 31:22
To do the strategic supply chain, you become a specialist. So, you need to decide whether you want to be a specialist or a generalist. You want to be a generalist; you do the MBA. If you want to be a specialist, you do the supply chain.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 31:35
Yes.
Dhurata Stenaj 31:36
Thank you. I guess we touched upon in the presentation regarding the CIPS Accreditation, but how does that actually work for a student? I think you've already discussed it a bit but if you could just get a bit more clarification, that'd be great.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 31:48
Our program is accredited by CIPS, and they are in the best organisation, and I believe some of you already know that, and they reviewed our programs our content and they're satisfied with you know, being accredited. So, this is something like that, there is an external review process to get their approval, and we accept that and then we obtain that and the from this accreditation, you will get lots of benefits. One is first one is extreme membership; you will get access to their resources for training and other things so that you can participate and grow yourself through networking and not learning different things from their specialised seminars. And also, once you complete our program, and satisfy all the requirements, you will be eligible for their full membership. And you will get access to all of the content, training content and educational content and you can further develop yourself in any specific area and you can get certificate from them. So, in terms of employment, you will get advantages from that if you get a certificate from them, because this is a very well-known organisation. Renowned organisation. Every employer knows that. So yes, so that is a great advantage and not any of our any other program in Australia actually dictated by them. Only our program is accredited.
Dr. Moira Scerri 33:18
And just to another, another relevant but different point is we actually use a number of industry accepted frameworks. So, in our operations and quality management, we include the Australian Business Excellence Framework. So, we're in discussion with business excellence, Australia, in how we deliver that content. We also deliver content around the score model, or the supply chains operations resource model. So, we're using an integrating framework that are accepted, well known and accepted frameworks in the industry. So, when you go out to the industry, you've already got, you know, the use of understanding how to use the tools that are accepted and used in the industry already.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 34:04
Yeah. Just to add to the CIPS discussion, one of the requirements sometimes from the employer, the degree that you have finished, whether it is CIPS accredited, because this is one of the leading professional authorities for accreditation for procurement and supply chain. This affiliation is very important. So, if you have a degree from your UTS, then you will get that degree accredited by CIPS.
Dhurata Stenaj 34:32
Thanks so much for that. It's definitely distinguished from other degrees out there. Maruf, I'll keep you on that because you really touched on my next question, which is about careers. I mean, I think this is a no brainer, because it's, you know, what's been going on COVID kind of highlighted exactly the demand for this type of work, but what are the career prospects and once I finish this course?
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 34:53
There are many career prospects in the field of operations and supply chain management. For example, you will find requirement for procurement manager, procurement specialist, you'll see Risk Management Specialist, you will find job listing relating to operations manager, either Service Operations Manager or management manufacturing operations management perspective. As I told the opportunities are many, the thing is our program is offered in a way, it covers comprehensive aspects, if you find any job listing relating to logistics manager, for example, you can apply. If you find the listing relating to procurement manager, you have that ability to apply. If you find listing relating to transportation planner, you can apply if you have a listing relating to service operations a specialist you can apply. So, we cover comprehensively all aspects from end-to-end manufacturing and service processing operations, and you can apply as many opportunities you see in the job sites.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 36:10
Excellent. So, there's definitely a demand out there for this type of work. I guess my last two questions are probably more from a student perspective, we get this a lot asked, "How are they assessments like? Are there exams? Is a lot of good work?". I guess we can probably all talk to this but am I good to Moira please?
Dr. Moira Scerri 36:29
Oh, each subject has a number of assessments, they vary between you know, two and three, typically. Most subjects have an element of group work, because that's where the richness of discussion comes. But we're very focused on as Sanjoy mentioned earlier, we're very focused on feedback and we understand that feedback is a critical part of the learning experience. And so, we often provide opportunities for students to give us draft documents, we will give them pre submission feedback. We as Sanjay also mentioned, were very much part of the discussion throughout the semester so there's no surprises, you know, you get our input and our feedback as you go along. There are some subjects that no exam subjects in certainly the subjects that I take, actually, I don't think there are in any of the master’s subjects I think there are in the undergrad. Sanjoy, you might be able to put a bit more clarity on that.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 37:25
Yes, so we have few subjects. This has only assignments. Yeah, it doesn't have any exam and few subjects we have exam as well, final exam. So, but all of the subject has one group assignment, 30% of the weight of the total marks, you need to complete as in with your group members. So, there will be four or five members from your class, you will form the group and you will solve a problem as part of the group assignment. So, and there are an individual assignment and there are final exam and there are presentations as well. So as part of the assessment tasks, some subject may have it buried, because not all subjects have the presentation. Few subjects have presentation to develop your presentation skill.
Dr. Moira Scerri 38:13
And also, I think there's you know, part of the assessment is about being able to demonstrate that you have adequate knowledge and are able to use the tools and techniques that were showing you that were, you know, imparting knowledge with so, you know, that makes sure that you can leave with these tangible skills beyond the degree.
Dhurata Stenaj 38:34
Excellent, thank you. And I guess the last kind of question is when we get some inquiries they ask, "How can I devote, or how much time do I need to devote to study each week and on top of like, the lectures that tutorials and how can I balance like work study and social personal life?", Just wondering from your perspective, what would you what would you advise?
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 38:58
Sanjoy you can continue.
Dhurata Stenaj 39:00
I'm sure you might have some different perspectives, yeah.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 39:04
As a full time, student, you will take four subjects in one semester. So, this is the requirement and if you take part time, it will take two subjects. One subject equivalent to 10 hours per week. So, this is 40 hours per week for full time students and 20 hours per week for part time, this is including your lecture and tutorial products. So that mean, if you have lecture and tutorial, outside of that, you need to spend time to complete your learning and ensuring your assessment tasks you work on and complete that. So, this is the requirement as you said work life balance. Yes. So, if you're working, I would encourage you to consider your part time enrolment. So that will give you the flexibility. You will take only two subjects in a semester, and you will have some breathing space and also, we offer this our subject from 6pm. So that's when you will complete your work during daytime, and you learn this program during evening time also. We have some subject we offer during weekend as well, so that your work cannot be interrupted.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 40:18
The other thing is, if you are regular, if you complete your studies regularly, then you do not need to be stressed. Because if you touch what have been studied during that class, and if you study a little bit after that, then it should not be an issue at all and my experience is the students who are regularly completing their tasks, they have a high chance of getting high marks.

I think the other thing is, whilst we're all talking about the work, there's actually a lot of fun involved in learning, working, working with other people. So, you know, part of that is that the more engaged you are, the more that you put in and the more that you'll get out both from a learning perspective and a fun perspective. Right. So don't look at it as just the hard work. Make sure that you know, and we help doing, we help you do that as well make sure that there's elements of funding there as well.
Dr. Maruf Chowdhury 41:19
Yeah, being engaged is very important.

So Dhurata, I can see another question here. Is there lots of math and analytics in this subject? So, someone asks. I believe, it should not be worried about math or physics here because we are here to help. There are I would say it is not an advanced level of math, there are some math because this is all kinds of decision-making tools you are going to learn. So, there will be some numerical analysis, but it is not a real advanced level of mathematics. You should not be worried because we use software, we use Excel, we use simulation software, we use other tools to make sure you would be eligible to apply that it is not that you are going to solve mathematical equations. No. You are going to learn how to apply that using those tools. So, we are here. We are we are supportive, and we make sure you are.

And based on my experience, I have seen a student didn't face problem once they started. If you are looking at the contents, if you see some of the calculations don't need to worry about because those calculations are solved in the class and in the class, you will be solving and finishing, and your lecture will be helping you to finish that. From last five years’ experience I have seen no students had any problem really.
Dr. Sanjoy Paul 42:42
No none of them complained about that. They enjoy.
