What you’ll study
The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is an exit-only course available to students in the UTS Bachelor of Laws. You can select to pursue an Honours in Legal Futures and Technology, focusing on the way technology, innovation and disrupters intersect with the law.
Alternatively, you can complete a research-based thesis on a legal topic of your choice supported by your selection of options units in areas like criminology, privacy, media law, jurisprudence and more.

Course highlights
This course is designed to give you an advanced knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts of law and equip you with advanced research skills. You can also elect to complete practical legal training (PLT) within your degree to meet the practical legal training requirements to become a practising lawyer in NSW or at the completion of the course.

Industry accreditation
This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW as a lawyer. If you also complete the practical legal training (PLT) within this course, you will be eligible for admission as a lawyer in NSW.
If you do not do the PLT in this course, once your LLB is completed, you will also need to complete a practical legal training program, such as the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice (available at UTS) to be eligible for admission as a lawyer.
