Study Global Business and Culture

The Bachelor of Business Bachelor of International Studies is offered jointly by the UTS Business School and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

The course integrates the study of business with a major in the language and culture of another country.

It caters to both domestic and international students, regardless of work experience. Choose this course to gain a competitive edge in global business environments, enhancing your communication and interpersonal skills for careers abroad or within multinational corporations.

What you’ll study

This course provides the knowledge, competencies and values necessary to develop critical, analytical and evaluative skills essential for a fulfilling and effective career in business, while at the same time providing an opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of another language and culture.

You must complete 240 credit points of study, comprising 144 credit points relating to Business and 96 credit points relating to International Studies.

In the Bachelor of Business degree, you'll complete a number of core business subjects including Business and Social Impact, Marketing and Customer Value and People and Organisations. This will build your vital capabilities and grant you a broad understanding of the way modern organisations work.  

You'll then commence studies towards your chosen major. Your major choice represents your specialised learning path and will likely influence your future career.  You can choose from the following Majors:
