About us
The UTS Membrane Biophysics Group specialises in investigating the intricate molecular interactions between biological membranes, ion channels, transporters and small molecules. We leverage our interdisciplinary knowledge to develop innovative membrane biosensors that can detect environmental toxins, inflammatory disorders and even aid in early cancer detection.
Experimental techniques our group specialises in include:
- Electrical impedance spectroscopy
- Fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy
- Molecular dynamics simulations
- Neutron reflectometry
- Differential scanning calorimetry
- Langmuir-Blodgett methods
