About us
Research activities in the Neuroscience Research Unit (leader, A/Prof Lal; also Deputy Leader of the Discipline of Medical Science at UTS), spans a multiple areas, and the lists is inclusive, of digital health and wearable and smart app technologies and algorithms, neuroscience; including physiology, psychophysiology, electrophysiology such as electroencephalography (EEG), heart rate variability (HRV), etc., cognitive neurosciences, cognitive sensor technologies/algorithms and other medical/health physiology in areas of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Further R&D span fatigue/sleepiness and facial and human behaviour image analyses, performance and decision making, cardiovascular research, diabetes, mental states and behavioural research such as stress, anxiety, depression, work and transport safety. A/Prof Lal also has long-standing expertise in human research, study design and statistical analyses and ethics.
