Science mid-year intake
What courses are offered for mid-year (July/Spring) intake?
UTS Science offer most of its degrees for mid-year entry. However, we suggest you check the list of courses to make sure they are offered in Spring. If this is your first degree, please refer to the Undergraduate courses. If you already have a Bachelor’s degree, you should refer to the Postgraduate courses.
Entry pathway through aptitude assessment
The aptitude assessment is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their potential, and possibly secure an offer in an undergraduate course to study at UTS Science. The assessment is designed to assess your analytical and critical thinking skills. Find out more about aptitude assessment and how to register for it.
What are the entry requirements?
For undergraduate applicants, entry is assessed on the basis of academic results from high school. For Year 12 students this will be your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent. For non-year 12 students, this might be your ATAR or equivalent, tertiary or TAFE qualification or a foundation course.
For postgraduate coursework applicants, entry is based on the completion of a UTS recognised Bachelor's degree, or equivalent or higher qualification in a related discipline. Evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies may also be taken into consideration.
How do I apply?
Applications for both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree, can be submitted directly to the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) (opens an external site). An application fee will be charged by UAC.
For local postgraduate coursework applicants, you have the opportunity to apply directly to UTS. You also have the opportunity to attend a Science Postgraduate Info Evening to talk to program directors and discuss your study options.
For international students, who are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident, you need to apply through UTS International. Students whose prior education was not conducted in English must also meet our English language requirements.
