What you’ll study

You'll commence your Communication studies with core units, building your foundational understanding of this discipline. Then, in your major stream, you'll establish specialised capabilities in areas like public relations, creative advertising, communication design and multimodal storytelling before collaborating on an agency-based project.

Meanwhile, your Law course will see you acquire insight into constitutional, corporate, contract law and more. You'll then opt to either pursue a major in Legal Futures and Technology or complete your choice of options units, choosing from a variety of relevant and interesting Law subjects.

Course highlights

You'll enjoy the opportunity to establish competencies in strategic communication in advertising, public relations, campaign design and production and more. Additionally, you'll get the chance to acquire an in-depth understanding of legal theory and practice that meets the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer in the state of NSW. 

Industry accreditation

This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW as a lawyer. Once completed, you will also need to complete a practical legal training program, such as the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice (available at UTS) to be eligible for admission as a lawyer.
