Winda Film Festival
7th Winda Film Festival
In partnership with SXSW, we finally brought back Winda Film Festival showing some of the films from around the world and the emerging sector of the industry. It was a bit different working with a larger organisation to bring back the festival, but a great selection of films and a great turn up especially to the Australian emerging sector considering the referendum was the weekend before the festival started we were a little bit low on numbers.

Native Stand and Fellow at Berlin
With our continuing work in the international space, we opened the door for the Native stand which engages with one of the largest film markets and allows an Indigenous filmmaker to enhance their knowledge on how to work internationally. This year's fellow was Trisha Moreton- Thomas, giving her an opportunity to work on her feature film surrounded by the international Indigenous consortium of festivals and funders. As a part of this work, I was also able to be a part of Cannes for a Day of talks about International Indigenous Producers working towards the co-production space.
The Cultural Resilience Hub promotes, supports, and embodies the exercise and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sovereignty and Self-determination, by leading innovative practices in Media and Storytelling in the arts. By undertaking best-practice research that empowers Indigenous Knowledge and lifting our communities' voices. We engage in strengthening our narrative and being a translator of research into works community can utilise in the cultural arts space and creating new ways to learn and engage with universities and storytellers.
