Safeguarding in Sports Course

The topic of safeguarding has landed on the agenda of Australian sports over the past six years in response to a series of independent reviews, the release of national and state-based principles, standards and legislation, and the establishment of Sport Integrity Australia.

This safeguarding course offers a series of introductory modules specifically designed to build a sporting organisation’s capacity to apply preventative safeguarding measures and effective safeguarding response strategies aimed at prioritising the safety of children, young people and athletes in Australian sport.

Sports must build internal safeguarding capabilities and can do this by accessing safeguarding education that is adaptable for specific roles, relevant across any sporting environment (grassroots to high performance) and can be contextualised to each individual sport.
