Access to Faculty of Engineering and IT facilities
Students in Building 11

Faculty of Engineering and IT students have 24-hour access to Building 11 once they have passed the annual safety induction. While in the building you should carry your student card at all times.

Safety induction

As part of the Faculty's commitment to safety, all engineering and IT students are required to complete a safety induction, the Safety and Wellbeing Essentials Module, each year in order to access Faculty facilities with their student card.

Students enrolled in an engineering or IT course are automatically given access to the Safety and Wellbeing Essentials Module at the Inductions site.

Further, for access to specialised laboratories, Faculty of Engineering and IT students must complete relevant room-specific induction training. Access to safety training can be found at the Inductions site.

Completion of the Safety and Wellbeing Essentials Module is not required to attend scheduled/supervised lab sessions.
