With more than 40 per cent of UTS students wanting to create their own jobs or start their own companies, equipping them with the right entrepreneurial tools will be critical to their success.
To do this, the unit is focused on strategic priorities aligned with the three key pillars of Entrepreneurship, Precinct and Partnership:
Entrepreneurship
Ensure all UTS students have access to entrepreneurial experiences, through coordination and promotion of the university’s credit-bearing entrepreneurship offerings, and the development and delivery of co-curricular entrepreneurship programs, internships, and external opportunities.
Precinct
Facilitate the university’s engagement and leadership across the wider innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem in Sydney and across New South Wales, with a particular focus on attracting and anchoring activities and partnerships within the Ultimo precinct.
Partnerships
Engage with startup ecosystem, corporate and government partners to expose our students to real-world challenges, solving issues in business, community and society with our students’ ideas, and curiosity combined with our research expertise.
