AAi NewsBytes February 2014
Director's Welcome
Edition 1: February 2014
It’s an exciting time for AAi. As we approach our third birthday and the launch of our new strategic plan, we’re celebrating a number of other significant milestones. One of our strategic goals has been to form an International Collaborative Network in data sciences and big data analytics to broaden our capabilities and opportunities for discovery and collaborations.
I’m pleased to report that we have partnered with the Université Joseph Fourier in France and the Chinese Academy of Science, taking the total number of joint international research centres initiated by AAi to three. These collaborations reflect the esteem in which we are held globally, and we are proud to have built this reputation in a short period of time. International collaborations like these will lead to theoretical breakthroughs in data sciences and world-class education and training, and fast-track the development of solutions for real world big data applications.
