Bonjour

Konnichi wa

So I'm studying Italian at UTS because I've been on a pursuit to know who I am as a person.

I believe that French is a really really interesting language it's got interesting culture interesting people and I really want to experience that and I believe that it can really improve my career and really expand my choices of what I can do in my life.

So I wanted to choose a European language and Germany is a really influential country.

Currently I'm working in law firm called 大成 or Denton's in English. We've recently had more exposure in the Asia region so I believe that learning Mandarin was a big beneficial step for my career, my career prosperity.

I really enjoy the tutor relationship with students throughout my Spanish degree, I think that the smaller classes that we have foster really good relationships. I have only had two teachers throughout my two years of studying Spanish and both of them have been wonderful, we've spoken continuously even after class and the relationships that you create extend beyond the classroom.

The interaction I've had with the teachers have been so amazing like they have reignited my passion for Japanese and they're always there to help me.

I'm only a beginner in Italian at the moment so I don't feel that I'm ready to head off to Italy just yet however I've been practicing with my family and friends at home in Australia and hope to one day head over to Italy to meet those extended family that I've never met before.

This coming summer I will be going to Lausanne in Switzerland for an intensive three week course so that's going to be all in French, I'll be studying with people from a range of different countries and I hope by being in a french-speaking country that I'll be able to really progress my learning and accelerate it and then consolidate what I already know.

Despite studying Japanese for seven years I've never been really confident in my Japanese speaking skills but through UTS Build and being able to go to University and spend one month studying there I was able to gain confidence and become more confident speaking in my Japanese.

My study overseas in Mexico has really changed the way I see my career say five to ten years from now I think that Spanish has really revitalized the passion that I've always had for culture but you kind of lose along the way when you're not actually actively engaging in that passion. I think that that's something that will really start to pick up in the next five to 10 years and I definitely see myself living in Mexico for at least six to twelve months post University and hopefully working in the cultural space there.

The best thing about learning a language is also being on a journey with other people, some of my best friends I've met through learning languages and we're all on a similar struggle so I think that's that's one beneficial thing is the friends you make along the way.

I think being overseas has really helped me become a lot more independent and a lot yeah a lot more braver in trying new things and seeing different places and going out of my comfort zone.

Language learning is a very long process but it is so deeply worth it you will go places you never expected you could.
