Daniel Sawicki Prize for Outstanding Media Talent
The Daniel Sawicki Prize for Outstanding Media Talent is to reward the achievements of high performing Bachelor of Communication in Media Arts and Production students (including BComm-MAP double and combined degrees). The recipient will have received the highest overall WAM in the year’s graduating class in the academic year immediately prior to the selection of the prize and will receive $1,000.
The Estera Weyland Prize for Excellence in Social and Political Sciences
The Estera Weyland Prize for Excellence in Social and Political Sciences was established to honour the legacy of Estera Weyland, a World War Two refugee who became a towering figure for the refugee community. The Prize is to recognise the outstanding academic performance of the top performing student in the Bachelor of Communication in Social & Political Sciences. The recipient will have received the highest WAM across all subjects that make up the Social and Political Science major and will receive $500.
Gareth Ivory Memorial Prize in Journalism
The Gareth Ivory Memorial Prize in Journalism is to reward the achievements of high performing Bachelor of Communication in Journalism students. The recipient will have been judged as the most outstanding project presentation for the final assignment submitted in 54025 Industry Portfolio Subject and will receive $500.
Sir Asher Joel Memorial Prize for Public Communication
The Sir Asher Joel Memorial Prize for Public Communication is to reward the achievements of high performing Bachelor of Communication in Public Communication students. The recipient will have won the Outstanding Student Award for Undergraduate Students for the Public Communication Major in the year this Prize is awarded and will receive $500.
