Postgraduate Communication Management transition arrangements

This information is for students who commenced one of the following courses before 2019:

  • C04254 Master of Arts in Communication Management

  • C06105 Graduate Diploma in Communication Management

  • C06103 Graduate Diploma in Public Relations

  • C06101 Graduate Diploma in Integrated Communication

All of the subjects from your degree program have been phased out and will no longer be offered from 2019.

Your study plan will be updated with substitute subjects from the Strategic Communication course which will commence from 2019.

You will still be able to transition and graduate from your current course.

You will also have access to choose elective subjects from the new course.

FAQs

Do I have to move to the new course?

No. You can remain in your current course. The subjects that were available when you first started your course will no longer be on offer. Instead, they will have been replaced by an equivalent subject from the new course. Your study plan will be updated with the equivalent subjects. Please review the subject substitution list for more detail.

What do I need to do if I want to move to the new course?

If you’re currently studying any of the following courses, you may be able to submit an Internal Course Transfer Application to move to the new Strategic Communication courses.  Please note that subjects completed in your current course will be recorded in the new course you are transferring to but will not count towards your Grade Point Average (GPA).

  • C04254 Master of Arts in Communication Management

  • C06105 Graduate Diploma in Communication Management

  • C06103 Graduate Diploma in Public Relations

  • C06101 Graduate Diploma in Integrated Communication

Will all of my chosen electives be available from 2019 onwards?

The list of electives has changed – review the new list. Please check the Online Handbook for more information on the subjects.
