SSAF Committee
UTS students and staff work together as the SSAF Committee to:
- oversee, monitor and make recommendations to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Students) about the distribution of SSAF funds to student services providers, such as UTS’s Student Services Unit (SSU), the UTS Students’ Association (UTSSA), ActivateUTS and UTS Childcare Inc
- facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing with SSAF recipients to enhance the student experience at UTS.
The committee meets at least twice a year to review expenditure and identify and prepare SSAF recommendations for the following year.

Mia Campbell
President, UTS Students' Association
As the President of the UTS Students’ Association, I lead an organisation that is one of the many recipients of SSAF funding at UTS. It’s important to me that SSAF funds are allocated and used transparently, productively and with a continuous priority of improving the student experience at UTS. By championing initiatives and services that cater to the diverse needs of our student body, UTS can best ensure its students are adequately supported throughout their time at university.
Hannah Cerezo
President, ActivateUTS
The 'Brought to you, by you' initiatives actively shapes our educational environment to be more engaging, supportive, and inclusive. With a focus on directly impacting the needs and aspirations of every student, we invite you to explore the remarkable activities and services that resonate with you.
Kurt Cheng
Student representative, UTS Council
A key priority for me is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed and be supported to do so beyond the classroom. Your SSAF contribution plays a vital role in funding a range of essential services, contributing to the wellbeing, support and development of you, your friends and over 46,000 students at UTS. From counselling and wellbeing programs to career support, sporting facilities and student clubs - it's all powered by SSAF, supporting a vibrant and inclusive campus for everyone.
