About DWL
DWL provides meaningful structural enablers and awareness-raising initiatives to proactively engage industry stakeholders. As one of the first not-for-profits of its kind, DWL is on a path to creating tangible change within the legal profession so that it reflects the incredibly diverse Australian society.
Their mission is to implement programs to support and empower Diverse Women law students and lawyers to navigate career paths.
Their initiatives promote the empowerment of Diverse Women lawyers through networking, targeted mentoring, and professional development opportunities in partnership with industry stakeholders.
Why become a member?
By becoming a member and active participant, you help further DWL’s mission. What’s more, is you’ll gain exclusive access to DWL’s events, networks, and programs. These include:
- a targeted mentoring program
- panel discussions exploring issues faced by parents and carers
- retention of diverse talent, and supporting First Nations women in the law.
Also, you’ll be part of a community working tirelessly to change narratives, empower Diverse Women, and create positive and long-lasting changes within the legal profession.
Membership is open to all champions and allies of DWL’s cause i.e. you do not have to identify as a Diverse Woman to join as a DWL member.
