Sound and Music Design transition arrangements
This information is for students who commenced one of the following courses before 2017:
- C10269 Bachelor of Sound and Music Design
- C10270 Bachelor of Sound and Music Design Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
All of the subjects from your degree program have been phased out and will no longer be offered from 2017.
Your study plan will be updated with substitute subjects from the new Bachelor of Music and Sound Design course. You will have access to new elective subjects from this course from 2017.

FAQs
Do I have to move to the new course?
No. You can remain in your current course. Some of the subjects that were available when you first started your course may no longer be on offer — instead, they will have been replaced by an equivalent subject from the new course. Your study plan will be updated with the equivalent subjects. Please review the subject substitution list for more detail.
What do I do if I want to move to the new course?
Current Bachelor of Sound and Music Design students who would like to move to the Bachelor of Music and Sound Designneed to apply via UAC.
Will all my chosen electives be available from 2017 onwards?
The list of electives has changed — view the new list.
