Course transfer and recognition of prior learning

Course transfer recognition of prior learning will automatically be recognised where the subject number and version number are identical in each course.

For more information, see UTS Course Transfer.

In all other cases, recognition of prior learning is not automatic and an application for recognition of prior learning must be made. For more information see UTS recognition of prior learning policy and procedures.

Course transfers, changing course areas or changing majors

Do you want to:

  • transfer to a UTS Communication degree from another UTS course?
  • change course areas within an existing Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences course?
  • change your major within a current UTS Communication degree (for example, moving from Social and Political Sciences to Digital and Social Media)?

You’ll need to submit a UAC application for undergraduate study. Selection is based on academic merit and is highly competitive – a distinction average is usually required.

Course transfers are not permitted.
