This course provides the opportunity for eligible graduates of the Bachelor of Midwifery to extend their skills and understanding of the research process.

It emphasises the reciprocal relationship between midwifery research and the contexts of midwifery practice.

What you’ll study

The purpose of the course is to enable graduate midwives to conduct clinically-focused research relevant to midwifery in any of its dimensions.

It aims to develop your skills in using research designs and methodologies, and to reinforce your understanding of the crucial role of research in the evolution of the discipline of midwifery. You'll also develop academic writing skills to produce a dissertation.
