June 4
Hi IIP Partners,
We're now very much in the final stretch of IIP for 2020 and the student teams are working towards their final outputs and presentations. You should have each received an invitation to a 45-minute presentation time slot on 18 June, but let me know if you haven't received these details.
The final presentation and the final project report together form a package that should communicate the team's recommendations and insights to you, as well as fulfilling their UTS assessment criteria around persuasive communication, originality and depth of analysis. In addition to the final presentation, you may wish to invite the team to share their findings in other ways within your organisation. We are also planning to pull together a short summary of all project outcomes to give you a sense of what other teams have been working on (your team will consult with you on this to ensure there are no confidentiality issues with their project summary).
This week also marks the final class activities for IIP, with a focus on the final reporting stage. Students will be working on a reporting strategy that takes account of the multiple audiences they need to communicate with (both industry and UTS) and the multiple communication tools at their disposal (presentation, report and others). They should discuss this strategy with you between now and 18 June.
Last week provided an opportunity for students to step back from their IIP projects and focus on a community-building task they have been doing for Assessment 3. They held a "Virtual Agora" to exchange contributions they have made to enhancing the connectedness of their cohort during what has been a strange time for all of us.
Thanks again for your involvement in IIP this year and we look forward to seeing you online for the final presentations!
Best Wishes,
Alex
