*CANCELLED* Transdisciplinary Innovation Community Session 1 (optional)

Please note: This session will no longer be going ahead as an in-person event. This decision is to support social distancing as informed by the advice of NSW Health and other government authorities. We will be in touch if there are any further details.
Midpoint Check-In (mandatory)
mon 27 April – fri 8 may
exact date & time to be arranged between students & partners
This is a key touchpoint where students and tutors check-in with partners with a reframed project brief and together they agree on a plan for the realisation of the project. Students will organise a suitable time for the check-in to be held at their partner organisation's office.
Online Transdisciplinary Innovation Community Sessions (optional)
Different ways to join in; you can share your thoughts prior to the sessions and if you are available, we’d love for you to join the online discussions on the 14 and 21 May.
1. Proof of Concept
Thurs 14 May | 10:30am to 11:30Am | rsvp here
We will be asking students to consider what proof of concept might mean from each of their disciplinary perspectives (e.g. business studies, design, communications, science, IT etc). We'd also love to find out what proof of concept means to you by having you post your thoughts as sticky notes on the Google Jamboard prior to the class. If you're available on the morning of Thursday 14 May, we'd love to have you join us via Zoom for an online discussion around proof of concept. Please RSVP via this Google Sheet so we know who is attending and whether you're happy to share your thoughts with the class.
Join us on the 14 May for an online discussion https://utsmeet.zoom.us/j/9153313598
2. Diffusion of Innovation
Thurs 21 May | 10:30am-11:30Am | rsvp here
We will be looking at some frameworks for how innovations spread through organisations and industry sectors, but we'd also love to hear your thoughts on how this works in practice. Again, you can contribute your thoughts via the google Jamboard (two pages covering enablers and barriers). And we'd love to have you join the discussion on Thursday morning 21 May. Please RSVP via this Google Sheet and let us know whether you'd like to share a story of where you've seen an innovation successfully spread or where it has failed to do so (and what led to these outcomes).
Join us on the 21 May for an online discussion https://utsmeet.zoom.us/j/9153313598
Final Presentations (mandatory)
Thurs 18 June
9:00am to 2:00pm
In the final week of the Industry Innovation Project, students deliver their work to Industry Partners and UTS staff in a Final Presentation for assessment. Students will present their team’s initiative, demonstrate the value of their innovation to key stakeholders, present recommendations for the Industry Partner to adopt, and make a case for the broader potential of their recommendations. A report will also be submitted following the Final Presentation, and Industry Partners will receive a copy of this.
Each team is allocated a 45-minute assessment slot. Industry Partners are required to attend this given time slot via Zoom, and will then have the option to participate in a general debrief with the student team following the presentation.
Please contact Alex Baumber if you would like to change your given time slot by 5pm Thursday 21 May.
