The BCII is an accelerated combined qualification that is paired with one of 25 core UTS degrees.
About the students
This means that students bring the knowledge and the skills that they have from each of their disciplines into the same room, and collaboratively work to solve highly complex problems.
Critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, invention, complexity, innovation, future scenario building and entrepreneurship lie at the core of the BCII and its students. You can expect to work with a team of students who are comfortable collaborating and innovating in diverse environments, and face complexity with an open mind and attitude.

Structure of the degree:
Students complete their core degree and their BCII in parallel. For the first three years of study, core degrees are completed during semester, and the Creative Intelligence and Innovation subjects are undertaken in accelerated form during the winter (July) and summer (December/January) sessions. Students then come back together for the 4th year of study, and complete one full year of BCII subjects. This is where the Industry Innovation Project comes in.

Methodologies, theories...
Throughout their degree, BCII students learn and practices a range of methods and practices. To give you an idea of what’s involved, take a look at the 'TDi lingo' section on this Resource Hub.
Or, even better, talk to your team! The IIP is a great mutual learning opportunity, so let your student team introduce you to their favourite methodologies you may not be familiar with.
