Courses for:
Qualifying as a primary school teacher
The UTS Master of Teaching in Primary Education provides students with a postgrad qualification that allows them to teach in NSW primary schools. This course can be completed in two years by those with the necessary undergraduate degree and specialisation subjects. The core component provides research-based studies of educational theory and practice as a basis for professional decision-making in the primary school context, including inclusive education, digital learning, working with and for Indigenous Australians, and the use of educational data for research and evaluation.
Qualifying as a secondary school teacher
The UTS Master of Teaching in Secondary Education prepares and qualifies students with a NESA-accredited qualification to teach in NSW secondary schools. Students who have both the required undergraduate degree and specialisation subjects can complete the course in two years of full-time study.

Teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL)
Using contemporary models of language, learning and teaching, we aim to meet the needs of people both with and without teaching degrees. The program provides an initial teaching qualification for career changers wanting to teach English to adults, and a specialist qualification in TESOL for those who already hold a teaching qualification.
