Commencing in 2019, you can study your undergraduate degree at UTS and have the security of knowing that a place in the UTS Master of Pharmacy is reserved* for you.
Undergraduate pathways
Our Master of Pharmacy places are competitive, but by selecting this degree, a place is allocated to you. Once you complete your undergraduate degree, provided that you achieve a credit average and are successful in the interview*, you will be admitted into the program.
The Bachelor of Advanced Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences is a three-year (full-time) or six-year (part-time) undergraduate degree that provides you with the knowledge and practical skills critical to the discovery of new therapies and drugs.
Upon completion of your undergraduate degree, join the Graduate School of Health in your reserved place* in the Master of Pharmacy course, to become a registered Pharmacist**.
*In order to progress to the UTS Master of Pharmacy, you must successfully complete the requirements for the UTS Bachelor of Advanced Science, major in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with at least a credit average, as well as successfully sit a selection interview at the end of the third semester in the Bachelor’s degree. The interview will usually take around 20 minutes during which an academic panel will assess your communication skills, interpersonal skills, interest in and commitment to pharmacy as a career. Successful candidates will be guaranteed admission into the UTS Master of Pharmacy.
**Upon completion of the Master of Pharmacy, graduates must complete a compulsory pre-registration training period and Intern Training Program in order to be eligible for registration as a Pharmacist.
