What majors can I choose from within the Bachelor of Management?
Students choose between an Digital Creative Enterprise, Events or Sport Business major.
When do I need to choose my major?
As you start studying your major in your first session of your first year, you need to indicate your major choice when you first enrol in the course.
How many subjects do I do each session?
Generally, a full-time student completes 4 subjects each session. There are main two sessions each year - Autumn session (March–July) and Spring session (July–November) with some subjects offered in the optional Summer session (November–March).
How much choice do I have in the subjects I choose?
UTS recommends a set course of subjects for you to follow to ensure a smooth flow through your degree. In your first session, this includes 2 core subjects and 2 subjects from your major. In your second session, this typically includes 3 more core subjects and 1 subject from your major.
What if I change my mind?
If you change your mind and want to switch majors after your first session, that’s OK, but you might find that the sequencing of subjects may extend the length of time it takes to complete your degree.
How do I choose my major?
When you enrol through Start at UTS you select your major before choosing your subjects for Sessions 1 and 2. Alternatively, you can enrol in person on campus.
What electives and sub-majors can I choose from?
You can choose between undertaking related subjects across the other majors within the Bachelor of Management, undertake electives from almost anywhere across UTS, or spend a session on exchange with one of our partner institutions overseas. You may elect to group electives into a 4-subject sub-major across a range of management and business areas. See the Bachelor of Management page for more details.
